Probably you have been asked this, too. Or people asked “So what is left for you to be allowed on this diet?” Most of the people are not aware of the abundance, the diversity, of the natural food. Fruit, vegetables, greens, nuts, seeds … so many things are growing out there for us to eat.

After many years living on a raw vegan diet based on fruit and greens, lowfat, i switched to keto raw vegan almost one year ago. My diet still containing lots of greens, yet no (or almost no) sweet fruit. Much more fat, though.
So today, i want to share what i learned this last year. Asking what is “better” – low carb or high carb – i will tell you, what works for me and what does not. And, of course, how my diet looks like now.
On saturdays (and at some places on sunday), all around the island farmers’ markets are taking place. This is where i buy most of my food. I often posted pictures from all that i bought (biiiiig bunches of greeeens); today i have a small collection of detailed pictures to share. Asking you: which of these do you know? Please comment 🙂

Protein. The word “protein” comes from the Greek “proteios”, meaning “of prime importance”. Yet, like written in “The China Study“, “The story of protein is part science, part culture, and a good dose of mythology.”
Nowadays, a lot of us know that we don’t need as much protein as has been stated for a long time – until now. Quite the contrary: the China Study and many more studies have shown that eating lots of protein promotes cancer and other diseases.
So again – it has been quiet here for some weeks now. Wintertime, my need to be in silence, to look inwards, to listen to my self. Combined with many things that had to be done, working in the gardens, computer work, and so on.
I really love all my tasks, yet i need to take care for staying balanced. It’s so important to find enough time for my self, and to stay focused on what is important. Discipline. Every now and then i forget this, or get overwhelmed from what is happening in my world, and am challenged to refind my inner balance. Lucky i am, as this gives me the chance to learn, again and again. Each time, i find something new, and each time i find more happiness, more gratitude. I even enjoy this state of not-being-in-balance. Embrace it, go with it.
Christmas. And every other day. Be a light in the world. Love your neighbour, and yourself. Don’t leave anyone out in the cold, share what you have to share. Even it’s not more than a stable. 😉
May our humanity, our love, compassion, understanding and respect extend to all beings, creatures, and this magical planet, mother earth, nourishing and supporting us all.

You have chosen to eat ketogenic/lowcarb, or to follow the Hippokrates diet, or you simply want to reduce your fruit intake and are looking for alternatives to sweeten your food? Then this post is for you!
You are breastfeeding a baby or toddler, and want to transition to a raw diet? Wondering, it this is possible, and safe for your child? Will your breastmilk become somehow contaminated, oder will it become less? Would it be better to wait until your child will be weaned?
What is the way to transition to raw while breastfeeding? Is it possible, and safe, to feed your child with raw food only, right from the beginning?
As people keep asking questions like these, i decided to share my experiences with all this in this article today.
Maybe you have seen it, at Instagram or Facebook: i moved on to the next place in my nomadic life. And feeling endlessly blessed, rich .. so grateful, i hardly find the words to express my feelings. Life is good! ALWAYS providing me with what i need.
