One Year With My Rawfood Café Project
Our paths do not always unfold as we imagined when we set out. The experience of not being able to live one’s dream in the form or at the time we had envisioned can bring a lot of disappointment, sadness, anger, feelings of failure, and so on. This is okay and fine to be felt – but it absolutely does not mean that there is something wrong with us, that the dream has failed, or even that we should give up on our dreams.
I can only ever live my dream in this moment anyway. All of life takes place now, only in this moment. Not sometime in the future, not in the past.
Follow your body’s healthy desire
You have read it here lots of times: my suggestion to follow your body. Only your body. Your inner truth. Nothing else. In each moment. No dogma, no rules, no expectations – neither those of others nor your own. And this applies to your food choices as well as to all other choices you need to make in your life.
Because this is the one way to happiness, to health. In the end, this is what freedom means. You, only you, deciding, what you allow in your body, what you will do, and what you won’t. And it is the only way to a truly nourishing and satisfying way of eating and living. Only what is in harmony with your real needs and you inner truth, will make you happy and content.
Today, i want to have a closer look at this. How does this work, following your own body? How can i do this, in everyday life? Doesn’t it take some discipline, strict rules, knowledge about nutrients etc, to thrive and be happy on a raw vegan diet? What do i do if my body is craving unhealthy food, fast food, – this is not healthy desire, is it?
Give as you wish!
For quite a while i have been feeling that our way of living, based on money or other ways of direct exchange prevents us from real togetherness and keeps us, or at least the most of us, in the illusion and experience of scarcity.
It’s not meant to be like this. It could be so easy. Give and receive freely. Just like nature.
Every tree gives away its fruit freely. Every flower is blossoming in her beauty. They don’t ask us to pay for it. And yet, they receive everything they need.
When we simply are and do, what we really wish to, live it, give it – we ourselves will be fullfilled and happy and will share our joy as well as our creations, our insights, our harvest, our time, … with those around us.
When each one is doing what they love, and giving what they want to give, everyone’s needs are taken care of.
Vital Force
The flame inside.
The flame of life.
The flame of light.
Life force
letting it flow.
Flow with it.
Being. Doing.
Gratitude
Did you feel gratitude today for nature?
You would not be alive, neither today nor any other day, if nature would not continuously give to you.
Nature is giving unlimited amounts of air for you to breath, she is producing enough water for the whole planet’s need to keep you alive, and without the life-giving force of the sun, none of us could exist.
All this is pure giving! How can anyone ever doubt to be loved?
Maybe so, maybe not, we will see
A chinese short story about fortune and misfortune
A farmer and his son had a beloved stallion who helped the family earn a living. One day, the horse ran away and their neighbors exclaimed, “Your horse ran away, what terrible luck!”
The farmer replied, “Maybe so, maybe not. We’ll see.”
A few days later, the horse returned home, leading a few wild mares back to the farm as well. The neighbors shouted out, “Your horse has returned, and brought several horses home with him. What great luck!”
The farmer replied, “Maybe so, maybe not. We’ll see.”
Later that week, the farmer’s son was trying to break one of the mares and she threw him to the ground, breaking his leg. The villagers cried, “Your son broke his leg, what terrible luck!”
The farmer replied, “Maybe so, maybe not. We’ll see.”
A few weeks later, soldiers from the national army marched through town, recruiting all the able-bodied boys for the army. They did not take the farmer’s son, still recovering from his injury. Friends shouted, “Your boy is spared, what tremendous luck!”
To which the farmer replied, “Maybe so, maybe not. We’ll see.”
Who you really are – What this is all about
All your life they have been telling you that you are small.
Insufficient.
Not enough.
Or too much.
Weak and powerless.
Not worth it.
That you are limited, and that what you want is not possible.
That you will fail.
Life is hard.
Exhausting.
Painful.
You have to work hard to earn love
and worth.
Chasing luck.
That’s how life is, they said.
No way to change it.
But … NONE of all this is true!!!
One Single Step
Ten years ago, a lovely friend sent these to me: the collage and the small stone saying “MUT” = “COURAGE” you see on the photo above. Helping me to find the courage i needed to embark on this journey of leaving germany behind and travelling the world with my children. Not the first step in following my heart, out of this strange, externally directed life in mainstream society, but definitely one i was struggling with those days.
