Ten years ago, a lovely friend sent these to me: the collage and the small stone saying “MUT” = “COURAGE” you see on the photo above. Helping me to find the courage i needed to embark on this journey of leaving germany behind and travelling the world with my children. Not the first step in following my heart, out of this strange, externally directed life in mainstream society, but definitely one i was struggling with those days.
Thoughts On Masks
Is there anybody who is not triggered by the thought of having to wear a mask from today on? I was. Several days i fought … with my resistance, my fears, my anger. There’s a lot these masks are bringing up. (Besides the fact, that it’s physically more than uncomfortable to wear them – when i had to wear a mask in Thailand, i felt like i would suffocate after only half a minute, i simply could not breathe.)
Yet, beyond the question how to deal with this practically (wear a mask or not, rebel, find ways, compromise, express your resentments etc), i invite you to first have a closer look at your reactions and feelings about this.
Freedom Is Freedom From Fear
Feeling fear every now and then is totally normal and okay. It’s about not getting stuck in this fear. Fear stops everything from flowing. Thereby, it will also weaken your health, your resilience, your immune system. Fear will paralyse your mind and leave you with limited (or no) choices on how to act. Right now, it even makes big parts of humans world wide willing to give up all their rights …
Life is NOW
We change. Each and every one of us.
- Who do you want to be?
- How do you want your life to look like?
- How do you want the world to look like?
Learn to love your greens! How to really enjoy eating raw vegetables
Do you like greens and vegetables? Are you happy with eating them just the way they are because you really love their taste? If so, this post is not for you. This is for those who struggle with eating their greens. Who really don’t enjoy eating lettuce, spinach, celery, cucumbers, zucchini, beet roots … any vegetables. And don’t feel happy with taking them down hidden in a smoothie either.
There’s a simple trick to get yourself to eating all the greens and veggies your body needs: simple, lowfat, delicious dipps and dressings!
Here is one of my favourite winter dipp recipes for you:
Winter Raw Food: Carrot Soup
Rawfood paradise in winterly Germany looks a bit different from what i used to eat in Tenerife’s warm climate. Greens, seaweed and sprouts stay, pumpkin and beetroot as well, but fruit, including non-sweet cooling fruit like cucumber and zucchini (my staples during the last months) make place for more warming vegetables, more root vegetables.
What i really love these days is raw soup. Blended root vegetables with warming spices and seaweed.

Making excuses. Or: Stop trying. Do it.
Do it. NOW. Stop smoking, drinking, eating that stuff you don’t want to have in your body anymore. Get out there & move your body. Leave your job. Or start this new one. Travel. Or settle, if this is what you want to do. End this relationship that does not speak to your heart anymore. Dare to be alone. (You will never be alone anyway.) Take the risk to open your heart. For friendship. For love. For those new beginnings,
Complicated Raw Diet?
To some, the raw vegan lifestyle appears to be too complicated: Do I get enough protein? How much fat should I eat? Which kinds of fat and fatty acids to I need? How can I be sure to get all the vitamins and other micronutrients my body needs? What am I allowed to eat, is this “really raw”, how do I combine my food properly?
I blogged about all of these and many more (mainly in german, up to now – sorry 😉 ) – but: it does not really matter!
How complicated is the raw vegan diet?
Did you ever doubt the standard cooked diet because it is “too complicated“?
